Police in Ramotswa are investigating an incident in which the body of a 51-year-old man was found decomposed at Sentlhane Farms on Sunday.
Ramotswa Police Station commander, Superintendent Keoagile Tau said in an interview on Monday that the decomposed body was found by a passerby, who in turn reported to the police.
He said the passerby was invited to the scene by a strong stench as the body had been there for about two to three days.
Supt Tau said police had managed to identify the deceased, who hails from Tsolamosese in the Mogoditshane Sub-district.
The Ramotswa police boss said the deceased was engaged in one of Sentlhane farms to mend the fence.
Further, he said their initial investigations did not suspect any foul play.
However, he added that they were still waiting for pathology tests result to determine the cause of death.
Supt Tau said the family of the deceased indicated that the deceased had in the recent past reported feeling unwell, hence Supt Tau appealed to the community members to avoid traveling far from their caregivers whenever they were feeling unwell.
He further encouraged people, especially men, to seek medical attention when they were not feeling well. ends
