The Botswana Democratic Party Youth Wing will host a music festival at Wharic Park on September 28 for the purpose of raising funds.
According to Gosego Matlala, secretary general of the youth wing, the event will start at around 11 in the morning until late. She said there will be lots of activities during the event, including quad bikes and jumping castles.
“A number of music artistes will be performing on the day, among them ATI, Vee, Eugene Jackson, Wizards of the Desert and DT,” she said. Matlala said entrance fees will be very reasonable, as a family of three or four will be charged P100, adults P40 and children P20. She encouraged Batswana to attend the festival in large numbers as they will also have a chance to entertain themselves and their families.
“You must note that some of the artistes that are billed to perform have just released new albums. So this is a major event that must be attended in large numbers,” she said. Matlala said she looks forward to seeing a large crowd at the fund raising event, and further revealed that they plan to host the festival every year. ENDS
