Majaga defilement case January 25

Nata Magistrate Court has on November 3 set January 25-28, 2021 as trial dates of a case in which Member of Parliament for Nata/Gweta, Mr Polson Majaga is alleged to have defiled a 17-year-old girl of
Malelejwe cattle post between September 2019 and May 2020.
The state attorney, Ms Kefilwe Jeremiah informed the court that they had furnished the defence with documented statements of the potential witnesses in the case.
She said the forensic report, which they had requested to determine if the accused was the biological father of the child born by the victim on July 5, 2020 had also been included.
Ms Jeremiah further said the state was going to call 23 witnesses.
Meanwhile, the defence attorney, Mr Mishingo Jeremia had confirmed that indeed they had received the written witness statements from the state and agreed upon the trial dates.
Presiding over the case is the Nata Principal Magistrate, Ms Keabetswe Majuta. ENDS
