Govt extends live cattle dispensation

Government has approved the extension of dispensation on the export of live cattle for slaughter by seven months from January 1, 2021 to July 31, 2021.
A statement from the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food Security states that government has also approved the licensing of private abattoirs for export of meat products.
It says the applications for export of meat products will follow the necessary process through the Department of Veterinary Services. Ends
