Police nab one suspect in Kumakwane cash heist

One of the six suspects who on October 27 robbed Ghanzi bound cash transporter, Security Systems, an undisclosed amount of money was nabbed Tuesday afternoon following an intense police search
Kweneng District Officer Commanding No:11 Senior Superintendent Modise Gabatshwane confirmed the arrest of the middle- aged man of Taung near Ramotswa who was arrested at Boatle.
It is alleged that a Ford Ranger with six armed robbers overtook the security systems vehicle near Kumakwane and immediately made a u-turn to Gaborone direction and started shooting at the security vehicle.
Senior Superintendent Gabatshwane confirmed the incident, which occurred around 5am.
Although there are reports that the two of the suspects were arrested in Boatle, senior superintendent Gabatshwane could not divulge more information because the investigating team was still on the lookout for unknown assailants. Ends
