Sehunou man appears before court for threat to kill

Thirty-two-year-old Thatayotlhe Machubele on Monday appeared before Serowe Magistrate Court on a threat to kill account, contrary to Section 220 of the Penal Code.
Particulars of the offence are that on October 16, at Madingwana ward in Sehunou, the accused was arrested for allegedly uttering threatening words to one Masego Mokgosi.
Machubele allegedly uttered the words: ‘O batang fa, ke ta go bolaya ka dilo tse ke di tsereng tse’, meaning ‘what do you want here, I will kill you with these things that I am holding’.
The unemployed man, who was remanded in custody and will appear again on November 5, also faces a case of resisting arrest.
Meanwhile, four people also appeared before the same court for obtaining by false pretenses, contrary to Section 308 of the Penal Code.
The accused are: Oteng Modise (37) of Nkaikela ward in Moshupa, Mooketsi Matsoo (32) from Matabi ward in Mmadinare, Joel Ngwakomonnye (40) from Xhosa 1 ward in Mahalapye and Dimpho Lobakeng (36) from Old Naledi in Gaborone, all unemployed.
Particulars of the offence are that the accused persons, acting together, with a common purpose, with intent to defraud Galebolae Maphakela, obtained cash amounting to P10 460 from him pretending to be police officers.
They were reprimanded pending investigations and will appear again on November 5. ENDS
