Police in Maun are in search of suspects who broke into a motor vehicle and stole P70 000.
In an interview, Assistant Superintendent Borefeletse Papane, said the incident took place at Boseja industrial in Maun on Friday at 11 am.
He said a 34-year-old man had parked his vehicle and went into a store.
Two of the suspects broke into the victims vehicle and took cash amounting to P70 000 and ran away using a Honda fit model vehicle.
Assistant Superintendent Papane said the victim heard a commotion of people chanting thieves while he was inside the store only to find his vehicle broken into and the money missing.
The victim had earlier cashed P80 000 from the bank and only left P70 000 in the vehicle, which was to pay his sub-contract employees at Khoemacau mine in Toteng, he said.
He also appealed to the public to help arrest the suspects.
Assistant Superintendent Papane also cautioned the public against leaving large sums of money in vehicles.
He appealed to them to always be vigilant when carrying large sums of money since it seemed the suspects had followed the victim from the bank.
