Car theft growing in Tutume

Tutume police are in search of two men suspected to have stolen a vehicle in the village.
Assistant Superintendent Lesego Kgosiemang said the incident occurred on Friday. He said two men wearing face masks broke into a 60-year-old woman’s house and stole the vehicle.
Asst Supt Kgosiemang said it was the second incident within a period of two weeks where a vehicle was stolen from the same ward.
He explained that in the first incident a Land Cruiser which was stolen was found stuck in the Maitengwe River.
He said in that incident, the owner of the vehicle was tied with a rope in her house, and that it took her long to free herself and alert the police.
He noted that in the second incident, the suspects took electronic gadgets which included a television, cellular phones and blankets.
He appealed to members of the public to help with information that could lead to the arrest of the two suspects or to report immediately to the nearest police station. ends
