Man in police custody for raping a 15-year-old

Nata Police are holding a 29-year-old man of Makwenaejang ward in Nata for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl of the same ward.
Station commander, Superintendent Vincent Pitsietsile confirmed the arrested in an interview Friday, saying the man was nabbed on Wednesday.
He added that the victim was taken to hospital where she was treated and later released. Superintendent Pitsietsile said if found guilty, the suspect faced a jail term of not less than 10 years.
Still in Nata, police have arrested two men aged 35 and 36 for shop breaking and theft. Superintendent Pitsietsile explained the incident happened on Wednesday night and the police managed to capture the suspects on Thursday.
He said from the stolen goods, they managed to recover a laptop worth P4000 and monitor, cash till that according to the owners had about P500, which the police did not recover. The police also recovered the two cases of savanna cider.
He said the two suspects would be charged with Shop breaking and theft, a crime for which one is liable to a jail sentence not exceeding seven years. Ends
