Police find suspicious substance in bus

Police in Ghanzi are investigating a case in which a substance suspected to be dagga was found in a Maun-bound bus last week.

Station commander, Superintendent Modiro Lekone, confirmed the incident in an interview on Monday.

He said 1 080 grams of the substance was found in the bus at Kuke gate.

A 20-year old male passenger hailing from Moshupa was arrested in connection with this substance.

Superintendent Lekone said it was suspected that the arrested man was transporting the substance to Maun.

He said the substance was sent to forensic lab for analysis.

Supt Lekone said the street value of 1 080 grams of dagga was around P8 000. Ends
