Hilton initiative welcome move

In an endeavour to cope with the new normal dictated by COVID-19, Hilton Garden Inn has on Wednesday launched a cleanliness and disinfection programme in its hotels around the world.
Briefing the media in Gaborone during the rollout of Hilton Clean Stay and Event Ready initiative, the company’s general manager, Ms Thabani Ndlovu said the company came up with the plan to satisfy customers’ needs and expectations in line with the changes resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ms Ndlovu said the programme was aligned to the new normal and was aimed at combating COVID-19.
She said the travel and hospitality sector was one of those that were hard-hit by the pandemic due to restrictions on movement and social distancing, among others, and therefore must work hard to remain relevant.
Ms Ndlovu further said the new Hilton Clean Stay initiative allowed guests to enjoy an even cleaner and safer stay, riding on the existing high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
For her part, Letsema hospitality chairperson, Ms Rutang Moses said since the outbreak of COVID -19, businesses around the world were faced with numerous challenges and therefore companies had been doing their best to survive the storm by adapting to the new normal. Ends
