Police arrest trio in Sebina

Police have nabbed three men who were found in possession of a green substance suspected to be dagga.
In an interview on Wednesday, Tutume station commander Superintendent Jerry Halahala, said the men were aged between 21 and 38.
Two of them are teachers at Shangano Junior Secondary School in Sebina.
He said the trio was arrested following a road block in Sebina.
Supt Halahala said they had since taken the substance for forensic testing and were awaiting results before they could determine a charge for the suspects.
In addition, police arrested another man of Sebinanyana ward in Sebina, who was found in possession of four small plastic packets containing a green substance also suspected to be dagga.
He noted that they had also taken the substance for forensic testing while investigations continued.
Supt Halahala said if found guilty for possession of dagga of less than 60 grams, they would be liable to a fine of P20 000 or imprisonment of not less than three years or both.
However, he said, if the quantity was of higher grams, they would be fined P500 000 or a jail time of not less than 10 years or both. Ends
