Search for Face of Keno continues

 Local clothing brand, Keno Custom Suits has embarked on the Face of Keno campaign, a competition in quest for a female and male ambassadors that will represent the Keno brand and lifestyle.

Entrepreneurs Messrs Thobo Kerekang and Donald Nnoto, who made their intentions known they are in the industry  to stay, broke the internet with the Face of Keno campaign, which received an overwhelming response from the public.

  In an interview with BOPA, Mr Kerekang explained that the brand deserves  befitting face.  

“The competition is about finding individuals that will resonate with our brand. At the start of the competition, we were very intentional about finding an individual who will embody the brand and who will resonate with Batswana,” Mr Kerekang said.

He pointed out that the specifications of the Face of Keno were not based on certain conventional physical requirements but rather the brand was looking for someone who the average Motswana could identify with.

“2020 has been a great year for local products despite the negative impacts of COVID-19. 

The #Pusha BW has shown to be an instrumental campaign, so we thought of how best can we infuse taking the KENO brand to the people plus pushing the BW campaign, then the idea of Face of KENO was born,” Mr Kerekang explained.

Moreover, in line with August being International Women’s month, Keno Custom Suits gave Botswaba ladies an opportunity to enter a space that showed creativity and uniqueness.

“We have already chosen 30 potential KENO woman finalists and we have to narrow the numbers down to 15 chosen by an array of fashion enthusiasts and brand activists then one winner will be announced based on public votes. It is important to note that the top 30 faces were not based on looks but on compatibility with the competition guidelines. Furthermore, this competition is about fairness, transparency and equality across the board,” he said.

Mr Kerekang further stated that the guidelines for qualifying to be the Face of Keno were to put together two outfits using a staple piece, one outfit for the workplace and the other for the weekend, strike a Pose and take a picture then tag @kenocustomsuits with the hashtag #thekenowoman.

“The response from the search was overwhelming and I applaud and appreciate the ladies for going all out for this competition! Some even went as far as hiring professional photographers and makeup artists to capture them, an amazing trait illustrating how the public takes our brand seriously,” he said, adding ‘the Keno Woman will be our face for a year and amazing prizes are up for grabs including being suited up in Keno Custom wear,” he stated.

He also said the search for a KENO Man would start as soon as the KENO Woman search was concluded. 

Keno Custom Suits motto is style is a way to say who you are without having to speak! 

The brand believes a good outfit can change an entire mood, no matter how one feels, which in essence means elegance is absolute perfection regardless of one’s physique .  ENDS
