Three men get six months imprisonment six strokes for nuisance

 Kgosi Simon Nkgageng of Tati Siding has sentenced three Zimbabwean men to six months imprisonment and six strokes each for common nuisance contrary to section 176 of the Penal Code.

Kgosi Nkgageng told BOPA that the trio, a taxi driver Abraham Zikhali, 23 years, Maxwell Chaka ,21 who resides in Taung, Ramotswa and Jack Isaac ,25 yrs from Tati Siding pursued Ms Nosi Ncube using Toyota Corolla with intention to rob her of the day’s earnings from hawking business and other proceeds kept at home.

According to the evidence availed before Kgosi Nkgageng, one of the accused, Isaac had tipped the other two  accused that Ms Ncube kept a lot of money hence they went on a mission to rob her.

Kgosi Nkgageng said that while following the victim, the three men periodically switched off their motor car lights in an effort to disguise and avert being identified.

Upon realisation that she was being tailed by strangers, Ms Ncube called her husband who came to her rescue.

Kgosi Nkgageng noted that since the lifting of the ban on sale of alcohol, crime was increasing in Tati Siding and nearby villages under his jurisdiction. ENDS
