Police investigate murder

Police in Pandamatenga are investigating a case in which a 34-year-old man allegedly killed a 52-year-old man in the early hours of July 18.
In an interview, Superintendent Nelson Museke said the duo reportedly had a misunderstanding that caused a fight, which led to death.
He said the deceased and the suspect in company of two other men and two women were drinking at a household of one of them when the misunderstanding ensued.
Supt Museke said the suspect allegedly hit the deceased with a bottle.
He said the victim was later certified dead at a health facility.
He said the suspect was in police custody for further questioning and would be arraigned before the Kasane Magistrate Court today (July 22) for a murder charge. Ends
