16 Jul 2020
Murder accused, Moabi Molapisi, has been put on quarantine in Lobatse, Sub-Inspector Keoagile Gaselatsapa told Extension II Magistrate Court in Gaborone today.
Molapisi, who was accused of killing his girlfriend Gofiwa Kabelo in Ramotswa recently, could not make it to court because he was reported to be awaiting his COVID-19 results and his 14-day quarantine had not yet elapsed.
Sub-Inspector Gaselatsapa said Molapisi had not yet been charged for another case that was reported in Maun.
He said Molapisi was likely to go to Maun for his arraignment before he could return to Gaborone for another mention. The 40-year-old of Matlapana ward in Maun allegedly killed his mother before he did the same to his girlfriend.
Sub-Inspector Gaselapa made an application that the accused person be remanded in custody until the next mention date.
Senior Magistrate Queen Moanga ordered that the accused person be remanded in custody until July 29. ends
