London college of business to open campus in Gaborone

London College of International Business Studies (LCIBS) is scheduled to enroll government sponsored students, when sets foot in Africa, this September.
Addressing the media in Gaborone on July 13, General Manager of LCIBS in Botswana, Mr Kaelo Sabone said the Gaborone Campus would give an opportunity to students aspiring to become successful entrepreneurs as it provides a high-techno environment, that would enable students to participate in live lectures streamed globally.
He highlighted that business and entrepreneurship development required strategic partnerships with the greater industry, therefore they had established partnership with Business Botswana to graduate students of value who would be ready to take the industry by the horns.
With reference to knowledge and cultural exchange Mr Sabone explained that their plan was to have a students’ exchange programme with the London campus to afford Batswana students opportunity to tap onto the first world country experience in the business sector.
Mr Sabone stated that their business courses were aligned with the National Human Resource Development Strategy (NHRDS) as they aimed to graduate students with already set businesses, which could ultimately help with employment creation.
For quality education delivery, he said, the campus would enroll only 150 students per batch, with the first intake planned to start tuition in September 2020.
He reiterated that the college had confirmed quality assurance through compliance with both Botswana Qualifications Authority and London-set standards.
The college shall offer courses ranging from Certificate in Business Management, Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management, Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Bachelor of Commerce in Information and Technology Management and Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurship. ENDS
