The Ministry of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security invites eligible citizens to apply for assistance to construct small-scale biogas digesters.

A press statement from the ministry states that the project will cover Southern, Kgatleng and Kweneng districts.

The project, which is being implemented by government in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), entails construction of 200 small-scale biogas digesters.

 It further says through the project, government seeks to facilitate low carbon investments in the production and utilisation of biogas from agro waste. The release says successful applicants will be assisted with costs of labour, one stove or heater, one desulphuriser, one lamb holder and cover, one biogas pressure gauge and connection valves.
