Murder accused appears before court

A 27-year-old man of Serowe has appeared before magistrate court to face a charge of murder.

Onneetse Zomowe is accused of killing Mr Phodiso Kgosiemang at Tshoswane cattle post, between Mmashoro and Paje, on March 11.

The accused is said to have willfully and unlawfully set fire to a hut and the deceased was burnt to ashes.

The prosecutor, Inspector Reuben Thuma, told court that the accused was on the run until he was arrested on May 20.

The accused and the deceased were both employed at the cattle post.

He will appear again on June 9 and police investigations are continuing. ENDS
