Car plunges into BPC transformer

Police are investigating an accident in which a Hyundai vehicle crashed into Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) transformer near Ghanzi mall on Tuesday.
Assistant Superintendent Space Dalaza said though they were still investigating cause of the accident, they suspected that the 50 year-old driver lost control of the vehicle before it plunged into the transformer.
He said the driver was treated for minor injuries and discharged from hospital.
Asst Supt Dalaza stated that it was the first accident recorded since the lockdown period, attributing it to low traffic and that those who used the roads such as truck drivers had been driving cautiously. Ends
