Brother threatens to kill sister over Omang

A 62 -ear-old Mogonye man in is police custody for threatening to kill his sister. 
 
Ramotswa police station commander, Superintendent Keoagile Tau, whose policing area covers Mogonye said in an interview that the siblings’ row erupted due to an issue over a national identity card. 
 
He said the suspect could not locate his identity card and subsequently accused the sister of having confiscated it and in the process, he threatened the sister with a knife. 

Supt Tau added that the complainant denied seizing his brother’s national identity card, adding that this was the second threat to kill case reported at Ramotswa police station since lockdown was declared. 
 
Supt Tau further said during the period, they did not have significant cases of family conflicts reported to them, but did not rule out the possibility of such and encouraged those who encountered family conflicts to engage with relevant stakeholders for counselling. 
 
He said help could always be sort from bogosi, police, social workers and community elders.   Ends
