Magistrate warns of overcrowding in court
12 May 2020
Kasane magistrate, Ms Thato Ramaja says only a few people are allowed to attend court sessions for the sake of social distancing observation.
Ms Ramaja said this during the appearance of Mukasa Ntengu, who is accused of unlawfully wounding a Lesoma social worker, Mr Atlasame Ledimo on April 29.
She explained that only lawyers, litigants and interested or invited parties were the ones allowed to attend court sessions, while relatives and friends should remain outside to avoid 'unnecessary overcrowding'.
To avoid the spread of Coronavirus, the courts throughout the country are not in session except to hear emergency cases such as murder. ENDS
