Suspect wanted for assaulting VDC member

Sejelo police in Kanye are investigating a case in which a Village Development Committee member at Taukobong ward was assaulted while assisting in the distribution of food to COVID-19 food relief beneficiaries.
Sejelo Police Station commander, Superintendent, Mogomotsi Matlapeng told BOPA in an interview that the suspect is said to have lost temper after he was informed that his name was not in the list of beneficiaries.
Superintendent Matlapeng said the assaulted woman, aged 45, did not sustain any injuries while the suspect was still at large.
He advised people to refrain from taking the law into their own hands, adding that in cases they were not assisted as desired, they should seek further assistance accordingly. Ends
