The police are still on the lookout for the suspect.

Letlhakane Police Station commander, Superintendent Michael Maphephu said in interview with BOPA on April 27 that the victim was raped on the night of April 25.

In another case, a 35-year-old woman of Tawana Extension in Letlhakane was grievously harmed by her 52- year-old partner.

Supt Maphephu said the victim, who had left her home with friends, found her partner enraged upon return, leading to him beating her up with a wood log all over the body including the head.

The station commander indicated that the victim was taken to Letlhakane Primary Hospital and ultimately referred to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital in Francistown.

The suspect is in police custody while investigations are continuing.

Furthermore, a 42-year-old man of Tomtom Dikae cattle post is suspected to have beaten up his partner with a wood log following a disagreement.
