Men in custody for attempted murder

Three Molalatau men aged between 20 and 37 are in police custody for attempting to kill a 37-year-old man of Motlhabaneng they accused of stealing their donkeys.
According to Semolale police station commander, Superintendent Boipuso Baatweng, the trio allegedly followed the man at Matshekge cattleposts, grabbed and forced him into their vehicle.
They subsequently lynched him with the hope to extract a guilty plea from him, Superintendent Baatweng revealed.
Upon realising that the man could be dying, the trio released him from the tree he was hanging from and fled the scene. The accused man was admitted at Bobonong Primary Hospital and discharged after two days.
On another stock theft related matter, Superintendent Baatweng told BOPA that they had in custody, a 27-year-old Zimbabwean man who was caught at Makosho cattleposts driving 29 sheep towards Botswana-Zimbabwe border. Supt Baatweng said the matter was still under investigation. Ends
