Police nab Zimbabwean man in connection with theft of P198 000 goods

Ramotswa police have arrested a middle-aged Zimbabwean man accused of stealing P198 000 worth of household goods at a residential house near Lion Park Resort.
Police station commander Superintendent Keoagile Tau told BOPA in an interview that the suspect will appear at Extension II Magistrate Court in Gaborone this week.
He said the accused with his fellow countryman, who is still on the run are suspected to have stolen the goods sometime last week.
Supt Tau said the police had recovered goods valued around P130 000 from the suspect, which included watches, cameras, clothing and phones among others.
He added the goods were stolen while the family was still asleep, adding that the suspects managed to break one of the windows to gain access.
Supt Tau said he was l hopeful that the police would arrest the other suspect soon, noting that the arrested suspect was staying in the country illegally. ENDS
