Youngster commits suicide after being rebuked

A 19 year-old boy of Letlhakane is reported to have committed suicide at Matswake cattle-post on Saturday April 18 after being rebuked by his father.
Botswana Police Officer Commanding District No.8 Senior Superintendent Sarah Gabathusi told BOPA that the deceased committed suicide after the father rebuked him for bringing many friends at his home.
Snr Supt Gabathusi stated that deceased thereafter, out of anger, broke stuff at the cattle-post, beating donkeys and horses.
Meanwhile, she stated that the police apprehended residents for brewing and selling traditional beer in and outside Letlhakane. Ends
