Police investigate group of young men

Police in Lentsweletau are investigating a case in which a group of young men was found playing a football match at Telekele lands near Medie.
Speaking in an interview today, Lentsweletau post commander, Ms Theresa Ntusa, said these young men played football, despite COVID-19 regulations that barred gatherings of many people.
She said it was worrisome that messages from health officials were falling in deaf years, particularly in her policing area.
Ms Ntusa said they also received a lot of daily requests for permits from people who wanted to graze their livestock.
Police are also in possession of traditional brew (khadi) that was confiscated from various people who sold it contrary to regulations .
Those who were found not complying with the law have since been fined by the police. ends
