Block 9 Cab driver murderers hung

Moabi Mabiletsa (33) of Mafitlhakgosi ward in Tlokweng and Matshidiso Boikanyo (39) of Lesetlheng Ward in Tlokweng were executed at Gaborone Central Prison on March 28.
According to a press release from Botswana Prison Service, the execution follows a death sentence, which Gaborone High Court imposed on the duo on December 1, 2017 for murder.
The court convicted Mabiletsa and Boikanyo for the murder of Mr Vincent Mopipi, a cab driver, on September 13, 2013, at Block 9 location in Gaborone.
They later appealed the judgment but was dismissed on February 8, 2019 by the Court of Appeal. ENDS
