Police probe suspected murder suicide

A lifeless body of a 65-year old Metsimotlhabe man was, on Thursday, found in a shop where he was hired as nightwatchman in Medie in the Kweneng District.
Botswana Police Service’s Superintendent Motlhaba Ramaabya said in an interview that they suspected the man could have been killed during robbery where goods worth around P3 000 were stolen.
He said the body did not have visible injuries.
He, therefore, appealed to the public to help with information that could lead to the arrest of suspects, who were still at large.
In another incident, Supt Ramaabywa said a badly decomposed body of a 37-year-old man was found hanging from a tree on Thursday morning.
He said the man, who had been missing for some days, allegedly used a rope to hang himself.
The body, he said, was seen by a passerby who reported to the police.
Supt Ramaabywa indicated that the corpse was immediately buried owing to its bad state.
“Let us be of the understanding that suicide is not solution to what may be bothering you. We need to confide in relatives or friends on how issues could be resolved before resorting to taking own life,” he advised. ENDS
