Three to appear in connection with murder of 64-year-old

Three suspects apprehended in connection to the murder of a 64-year-old woman in Mmadinare will appear for mention on March 10 at the Selebi Phikwe Magistrate Court.
Selebi Phikwe Criminal Investigation Officer (CID), Detective Superintendent Mr Obert Stone said their investigations led to the arrest of the trio who had since been remanded in custody.
They are 23-year-old Tlotlo Odisitse, 42-year-old David Outule of Matabi ward and 37-year-old Tebogo Nsakwa of Kelele ward in Mmadinare.
He said the interrogation of Odisitse and Outule who were arrested on February 21, led the police to the capture of a third suspect being Nsakwa, who was arrested on February 23.
Mr Stone said one of the suspects led the police to the recovery of what was suspected to be the murder weapon, an axe adding that the axe had been sent for forensic testing to attest that indeed the axe was the murder weapon.
The incident is believed to have happened between February 16 and February 18.
He said if found guilty of this type of offence, one may face the death penalty. ENDs
