Govt extends ploughing period

Government has extended the ploughing period for the northern part of the country from February 16 to February 22, 2020.
A press statement from the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food Security says farmers who continue to use technologies such as row planting and harrowing will continue to benefit according to ISPAAD guidelines.
“Farmers are encouraged to plough and plant when there is adequate moisture in the soil,” it states. Ends
