20 Jan 2020

Coca Cola Beverages Botswana (CCBB) has partnered with  Monster energy drink to be the drink’s main distributor in the country.

In an interview, the general manager of CCBB, Mr Dabid Chait, said Monster energy drink was not new in the market but it previously did not have a distributor, something which he said would be their responsibility.

He said the energy drink had been in existence for some time and said its quality and taste were unmatched globally.

Mr Chait said Monster energy drink had a variety of flavours ranging from orange, grape, lemonade as well as iced tea and coffee.

The drink, he added, catered for consumers’ different tastes and preferences.

‘Monster is not just about the energy drinks, they are also behind the Monster army, a programme that supports and sponsors aspiring athletes in some non traditional sports like surfing and mountain biking among others,’Mr Chait said.

Selected athletes get monetary support, publicity and guidance, with some going on to become pro athletes sponsored by Monster,  he said.

The partnership launch  also included car spinning which put everyone on their toes.

Local E30 BMW Gusheshe driver  Mothusi Alfred aka King Joe made exciting moves to an uproar of cheers from the energized spectators.

King Joe was on top of his game from the beginning to the end and out classed his peers.

The main spinner from South Africa by the name of Stacey Lee could not make any move as her car broke down a minute she entered the ring. Ends
