Mothusi Ratshipo of Ntlhantlhe appeared before Lobatse Magistrate Court on January 6 for the murder of a two-year-old girl.

According to a press release from Botswana Police Service, the 39-year-old suspect, who is alleged to be a boyfriend to the young child’s mother, killed the child on January 4 following a misunderstanding with the mother.

The release states that police investigations have revealed that the suspect disappeared with the child, who was later found dead, near the former’s place.

The release further states that Mogorosi Korae, 35 and Aobakwe Baleseng both from Molepolole, also appeared before court on January 7 in connection with the murder of a 27-year-old woman of the same village that occurred towards the end of December.

It is alleged that the deceased’s body was found decomposed in an unoccupied yard at Difetlhamelelo ward.

Also, the release states that a man aged 23, was attacked and killed by a mob at Senthumole ward in Mogoditshane on January 4 for breaking into a motor vehicle.

Investigations, according to the release, indicate that the deceased was connected to a number of house breakings and robberies that occurred in Mogoditshane and periphery.

His 21-year-old accomplice is assisting the police in their investigations. Ends
