Police in Maun are investigating an incident in which a 27-year-old man of Boseja ward in Maun was found hanging from a tree on December 23.

Maun Station Commander Chenamo Orateng said in an interview that the man was then rushed to Letsholathebe II Memorial Hospital where he was certified dead.
He said the police were currently treating the issue as suicide.

He however said the man did not leave a note to explain his motive nor did he show any sign of suicide to the relatives prior to claiming his own life.
Supt Orateng further appealed to members of the community to seek counselling from family, friends or professionals whenever they experienced life challenges instead of taking one’s own life.
He said committing suicide was not a solution to challenges but rather added problems to the grieving family. ends
