Magistrate grants Ghanzi brigade candidate bail

Ghanzi Senior Magistrate, Thapelo Buang has granted bail to the Ghanzi brigade student who has been writing his exams under police custody.
The accused person, Gape Masekamela aged 23, is facing a single count of threat to kill and has been under police escort from November 5 to November 7.
His bail conditions are that he binds himself with the sum of P2 000 and does not communicate with the complainant.
Magistrate Buang said the relaxed bail conditions would enable him to study for his examinations.
Inspector Chinga Pateletso, who is a prosecutor in the matter, did not oppose the bail.
Nonetheless, by the time he was granted bail, the accused was left with one subject (Trade Mathematics) to sit for.
The case status update has been scheduled for November 21. ENDS
