BancABC case resumes December 03
06 Nov 2019
December 03, has been set as mention date for a case in which P20 million was allegedly stolen from BancABC between October 9, 2018 and January 10, 2019.
The case involves Trevor Boiteto, Omphemetse Kedikilwe and Mooketsi Kedikilwe, who have been charged with theft and made their second appearance before court on Tuesday.
The background details of the case are that the bank established legal proceedings before court earlier this year through the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) against the accused persons and companies involved in the theft, which led to the confiscation of the involved accounts and assets.
Particulars of the offence are that the trio, in their own personal capacities, together with a company Waltord Holdings represented by Omphemetse as its director and another one Bold mark Engineering represented by Mooketsi as its director between October 9, 2018 and January 10, 2019 acted together and stole the money from the bank.
Investigations revealed that Boiteto was the kingpin as he was the one who created the scheme and gave all the instructions for the creation of fixed deposits and for the disbursements made in respect of the money as well as did the transactions from all the accounts.
Investigations continue. ENDS
