Magistrate orders prosecution to speed up investigations

Extension 2 magistrate Ms Batho Kgerethwa has ordered the prosecution to speed up investigations in a case involving Itumeleng Motshweneng who is accused of murdering one Mmonyi Semente in Tlokweng last August.
After hearing the parties briefly when Motshweneng appeared for mention yesterday, Magistrate Kgerethwa said the prosecution should ensure that there was progress in its investigations.
The prosecutor, Sub Inspector Elsie Kgaodi of Tlokweng Police had earlier told the court that the prosecution was still awaiting results from the forensic laboratory.
Motshweneng, who is represented by attorney Mr Modisa Kebonyemodisa, will appear for next mention on February 12 next year. ends
