Four suspects appear before court for various offences

Three men charged with armed robbery appeared before Extension 2 Magistrate Court recently.
They are Oteng Tshegofatso, 25, of Mmopane, Pako Kenosi, 28, of Kgagodi and Kabelano Mothusi, 33, of Molepolole.
A press release from Botswana Police Service states that on September 3, 2019, the three men robbed a Bureau De Change at Ramotswa cash amounting to over P24 000 and R7 000 and also went away with a tablet valued at P3 000. In another matter, 40-year-old Tumelo Thebe of Diphonchi ward in Mochudi was also arraigned before the court for offences of rape, theft of motor vehicle and armed robbery.
Thebe is alleged to have committed the offence on September 3 this year at Gaborone North, in Kopong and Mochudi respectively.The release states that the suspect, who is alleged to have been armed with a knife, attacked and raped the victim at Gaborone North and also attacked and robbed another victim a car valued at P25 000 and some cellular phones in Kopong.
He also robbed a liquor outlet of property valued at over P2 000 and P1 900 cash in Mochudi, all the property and cash involved were recovered. All the suspects had been remanded in custody and will appear for mention on the 18th and 19th of September this year. ENDS
