13 Jun 2019
Botswana Police Service (BPS) deputy public relations officer Senior Superintendent Near Bagali has confirmed that the triple murder victims have been identified by their family.
In an interview yesterday, Snr. Supt Bagali said circumstances surrounding the incident were still being investigated and an investigation team was dispatched to search for a possible motive and suspect(s) in the murder of a man (37), his wife (33) and daughter (three), who were found dead on June 10, morning at Gaborone’s Tsholofelo East.
Residents of Tsholofelo East were this week struggling to come to terms with the discovery of the three bodies. Social media was also having trouble coming to grips with the fact that such a tragedy involving a minor could occur.
Senior Superintendent Bagali confirmed that at the time of the discovery, the deceased were residing in Phase two in Gaborone and their next of kin had already identified their bodies, which were currently lying at the Princess Marina hospital mortuary awaiting post moterm.
The case is being handled at Broadhurst Police Station. ENDS
