Police in Pandamatenga are investigating the murder of a 32-year-old man of Motlopi in the Boteti District.

In an interview, Pandamatenga station commander, Superintendent Nelson Museke said on April 18 around 9pm, the station received a report that the man was bleeding heavily.

He said it was suspected that the wound was inflicted with a sharp instrument.

He said the man was treated at the local clinic and later referred to Kasane Primary Hospital, where he was certified dead.

Supt Museke said a 37-year-old woman of Pandamatenga was helping the police with investigations as it was alleged that prior to the incident, the duo, who were lovers, had a misunderstanding.

The suspect was to be arraigned before the Kasane Magistrate Court on Monday.

Supt Museke said in addition to the murder case, three more cases of common nuisance, assault occasioning bodily harm and theft were recorded.

He said his station further registered 64 road traffic violations. ENDS
