24 Feb 2019

Police have called on the public to help find murder suspect, Kabo Motlhabane commonly known as 'Sebente'.

Motlhabane reportedly stabbed to death a 33-year old woman who had just reported for work at Borakalalo kgotla in Molepolole on Friday.

Molepolole police station commander, Superintendent Lebani Burns, appealed to the public in an interview  to help with information that could lead to arrest of the suspect.

Borakalalo ward Village Development Committee (VDC) chairperson, Mr Busang Lekote was one of the people who witnessed what he labelled  as  "barbaric killing of the woman by the most feared man around Borakakalo area".

“We heared the deceased calling for help as she tried to seek refuge in the kgotla office, but we just watched in dismay because everyone feared him” stated Mr Lekote.

Ms Basadi Lekhwesa, the deceased's aunt, said Motlhabane constantly harassed the deceased as well as the family and the matter was recently brought before  tribal authorities for reconciliation but in vain. ends
