Police arrest suspects

Police have arrested three suspects aged between 20 and 33 years of Lobatse and Lotlhakane East in a case of robbery that occurred on January 28, 2019.
A press release from Botswana Police Service (BPS) states that the suspects are alleged to have attacked a family in Lobatse, armed with offensive weapons before robbing them two laptops, five cellphones, decoder, digital camera and a plasma television valued at over P23 000.
The release says during the search the police recovered television, decoder, two tablet phones, a digital camera and four cell phones.
Meanwhile, the release says Palapye police have arrested a 23-year-old man of Lecheng village in connection with a series of cases of breakings that had occurred in the village in January 2019.
It further states that the suspect was arrested on January 29, this year and upon being searched the suspect was found in possession of suspected stolen property worth P5 000 at his house.
The release says the suspect has other pending cases which include rape, burglary and theft, stealing from a dwelling house and traffic offences.
All suspects are in police custody while investigations are ongoing. Ends
