A man facing three counts of rape has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Maun Magistrate Court for mention on February 1.
On the first count, the accused, 25-year-old Noah Mokgadi of Tobane is alleged to have raped a woman on November 19 last year whom he had met earlier at the mall.
The two are reported to have proceeded to the complainant’s home in Thito Ward where the accused raped her without using a condom.
On the second count, Mokgadi is alleged to have raped another woman of Matshwane Ward on December 12.
On the third count, the accused is alleged to have raped a woman at knife point in her Boseja Ward home on Christmas day last year.

Representing the prosecution, Sub Inspector Paul Basupi of Botswana Police Service requested that the accused be remanded in custody as the matter was still fresh and that they were awaiting exhibits from laboratories.
According to the prosecution, the accused person has similar cases pending in Selebi-Phikwe and Palapye. ENDS
