Two associations sponsor Motswana student

A young woman studying in China received chance of her life time when the Charity Association of Chinese in partnership with Botswana Huaren Golf Association sponsored her studies.
Ms Botsang Sekelemane, 22, a third-year Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery student at Ningbo Medical University received a P90 000 donation on Thursday.
Huaren Golf Association chairman, Mr Miles Non said during a ceremony to celebrate Huaren’s Golf Day in Phakalane that the purpose of the donation was to enable Ms Sekelemane to complete her studies. He explained that Ms Sekelemane, who was sponsored by her parents, approached the association for assistance as she did not have enough funds to continue her studies.
The Charity Association of Chinese is a non-profit making association formed in 2011, while the Huaren Golf Association was founded in 2009. “Our main aim is to work hard and assist to help the nation of Botswana reach the next level. We have over the years donated to social activities,” he said, adding that they were still refurbishing Mogoditshane clinic.
Ms Sekelemane expressed gratitude to both associations for agreeing to sponsor the remaining years of her studies. Ends
