Shashe Bridge man in custody on murder allegations

A 31-year old man of Shashe Bridge is in police custody in connection with death of his girlfriend.
Speaking in an interview, Tonota police station commander, Superintendent Oteng Ngada, said the suspect was alleged to have stabbed his 43-year-old girlfriend with a sharp object.
Superintendent Ngada said the murder suspect handed himself to the Tonota police on Thursday evening informing the police that he had killed his girlfriend.
He said the two were in a relationship and although it was not clear what led to the murder, it was alleged that the two had a misunderstanding.
Superintendent Ngada said the suspect was scheduled to mention in Francistown magistrate court in October 11 facing a single count of murder.
He appealed to the public to seek help from professionals such as the police, social workers and even parents should they encounter any problems. ENDS
