12 Sep 2018

To some, working out is not just a routine to maintain health; it is a lifestyle.

Such people retain an apt way of life that is good for their lives through out their respective careers.

Speaking in an interview recently, the public relations officer for Reshape Fitness Club in Gumare, Ms One Kebuang  said the  aerobic club was registered in 2017.

Kebuang said the club intended to make positive contribution in the community, adding that they sometimes partnered with other stakeholders to equip and educate the community about diverse health issues as well as to do HIV testing.

She stated that they recently hosted an open fitness day in partnership with the department of youth, Makgovango Luxury Inn and public servants.

She said Reshape was about remodeling and toning down bodies to a healthy proportion, stating that most of their members’ ages ranged from 18-45.

Kebuang said they had formed meaningful relationships that even extended outside working out.

For example, she said, if one of them got married or had a bereavement, the club contributed money to help out.

She stressed that the club always emphasises more on individuality in terms of talent, adding that some people are gifted in kick boxing, marathon and step high.

She said the club usually held an annual general meeting at Tsodilo mill hill, afterwards they do community service in the village.

Kebuang noted that the club had mini branches in places such as Etsha 6, Shakawe, Gowa, but in Gumare there were 20 diehard members, who usually train at Ngethu Brigade from 17:30-20.00 hrs.

She said the members paid a monthly fee, which covered most of their travelling expenses as well as refreshments.

She encouraged the youth to join aerobics, which she said was fun and exciting, adding that there were careers in aerobics that one could explore. ENDS
