A motivational speaker and director of Moshe Seloko International, has donated a projector set to Molopo River Junior Secondary School.
Speaking during a handing over ceremony, Goodhope Sub Region, principal education officer, Mr Topo Mmolawa applauded Mr Moshe Seloko for heeding the government call for community involvement in education.
He said most schools operate with limited resources, calling for the wise use of the projector so that it could benefit the education system and help improve students’ results.
He added that despite shortage of teaching aids, teachers should continue using the little resources they have in order to achieve desired results.
Mr Mmolawa said the infusion of information technology in the education system would enhance learning.
He said the projector could be used for remedial classes to augment those lagging behind with curriculum.
Mr Mmolawa also asked the school to avail the projector to all the beneficiaries.
Mr Mmolwa advised students to always be confident and work hard so that they succeed in their school work.
For his part, Mr Seloko, advised the students to develop a sense of perseverance and never give up when they face challenges so that they could excel in their studies.
He further said students should change their bad attitudes towards teachers and start showing respect, as well as loving their subjects to make a difference in their academic performance.
Mr Seloko said students should also have time to play and have fun to refresh their minds. He vowed to continue providing support to the school. Earlier in her welcome remarks, school head Ms Connie Kabasia appreciated the donation and thanked Mr Seloko for the donation, saying it demonstrated stakeholder involvement in building education in Botswana.
She said the gift would motivate the students and the teachers to work hard and upgrade the schools results.
Ms Kabasia also said the school has mandated itself to produce well-groomed leaders of tomorrow. ENDS
