0-year old man of Mmopane has reserved his plea in a drunken driving case .

Appearing before Jwaneng magistrate Ms Gaone Bagopi on Monday, Olebile Seele who works as a driver at Auto Links chose to postpone his plea for a later date.

He is accused of driving a motor vehicle while his breath alcohol content was 71mg/1000ml therefore exceeding the 0.22mg/1000mg limit at Diamond mall in Jwaneng on June 24, 2017. The case was set for mention on August 21, 2018.

In a different case, a 24- year old woman of Jwaneng requested for a different date for mitigation in a drunken driving case.

Gomolemo Modie is accused of driving a motor vehicle while her breath alcohol content was 0.36mg/1000ml against the limit of 0.22mg/1000ml in Jwaneng on April 14, 2017.

She pleaded with the court to adjourn the matter to a later date as her voice was not audible due to illness.

The prosecution had earlier pleaded with the court to treat the accused as a first offender since previous convictions could not be availed on time and the case has been dragging for long.

The case was adjourned to August 21 where the accused person is expected to mitigate. ENDS
