Masisi hails artistes

President Mokgweetsi Masisi on July 17 awarded Mr John Selolwane best award in mentoring (performing arts) during President's Day Celebration award ceremony in Gaborone .
During his peak he performed alongside international acts such as Stimela, Paul Simon, Hugh Masekela and Miriam Makeba.
The awards were a culmination of events that started a few weeks back in different districts across the country.
President Masisi said the competitions accorded artistes an opportunity to make a living from their talent, adding that they also helped in marketing the country as well as in using culture as a vehicle to achieve economic diversification. ENDS
